Camera Happy

My husband is insane. Being in retail, he works a lot - especially given that it's "the season for people to spend all their money" - you know, Christmas...bleh. When did it get so crazy? Anyway, that's a whole other post.

He's insane because every night he calls me at "sunset time" and says "GO OUTSIDE AND TAKE A PICTURE!!"...doesn't matter if I'm in my skivvies or cooking dinner or sitting on "the throne", I MUST go outside and take a damn picture of the sunset. So these are some of our favourites - although they're all starting to look the same to me.

The New Babe

Okay okay - yeesh, so I haven't been too good at keeping up appearances and updates, eh? Gimme a break ;)

Here is our new family addition...Emily Louse - born November 1, 2006 weighing 10lbs 4 oz (not quite as big as her older sister, but then again, Emily was born at 38 weeks and not 41...soo...god only knows how big should would've been!!) Whew.


My Mom was here for the last month - it was great to have her here, although it meant having to give up "holding time" with Emily - Mom completely monopolized her...but then again, I got to have naps and relax...so who's complaining? Not me!

So we're just getting into routine. Thankfully McKenzie (4 years old) loves Emily and isn't rearing that ugly jealous monster that sometimes lurks beneath the surface. Granted, there have been some challenges...for example, trying to squeeze her four-year-old butt into a diaper that's made for a newborn...that's um, interesting, to say the least! We're having fun with it and trying not to take the "I want to be a baby too" thing too seriously - yet.

So that's it for my little update - and yes, I'll keep up with things better now that I HAVE A YEAR OFF! Hahaha suckers!!!!
