'lil Attitude

We've been experiencing this....face....alot! She's four! And she's got attitude when she needs it (or maybe when she wants it!). Bri says like mother like daughter - yeah, whatever!

Emily has been consistent in her rolling over this weekend. She's been doing it periodically for a couple months...but nothing like this past week or so where she wakes up wailing because she's on her stomach and doesn't remember how she got there. Ah well, they're my babies - can't complain too loudly.

My Offspring

I've been taking a lot of pictures lately - probably 30 a day at least...although some of them get trashed because of focus or lighting or whatever. Here's a couple from the last few days of my offspring, God I love em.

And in case you're wondering what McKenzie is doing with that orange laundry basket tied to her back - she wanted to be a turtle and I was happy to oblige.

The house is on the mend

So I tore it apart - the living room has been "revitalized" as the would-be-designers of the world might say. We bought a rug and I like it a lot. And I moved all my pictures around on the wall so they made more sense - I didn't realize how stupid it really looked before, but now it's just lovely. And we're going to have the living area (living room/dining/kitchen/entry) painted next week by a guy who paints - yes, that would be....a painter! Hallelujah. He told us it's going to be $500 bucks if he only has to do one coat - so we're pretty well going to paint the same color (not because of the $$, but because I like it - just the previous owner did a shit job of painting and it needs to be freshened up a little).
Some think we're crazy for not picking a new color if we're going to get it done - but really it's a nice sagey green, it goes with everything we have, so why rock the boat now? Not to mention the last time we picked a color we (okay, I) picked pink - and it looked like someone's dusty rose carpeting puked on our walls...so I'm not going there again.
We also bought a mirror for our main bathroom - which is a big step up from having no mirror, then a tiny 5 X 7 mirror...so this a MONSTER mirror and is pretty nice although everytime I walk into the bathroom in the dark I see movement reflected out of the corner of my eye and it freaks me out.
So that's it on the house for now...more changes to come I'm sure, but I'm happy with it so far.
Yesterday we bought a universal gym - eep! I hope it gets its use. We could've got a gym membership for the two of us for a year and a bit for the same price, but honestly, we wouldn't make it to the gym near as much as we could make it downstairs - mostly because then we'd have to find childcare, etc etc and it's much easier to make excuses about "going out" then "going down"..the stairs. Uh, yeah.
Welp that's it for now - off to wake the kids and get this day moving!

I'm sick - really really sick

I have a bug - it's called the "scrapbooking bug" - and I caught it from my sister during her visit here. I did not realize it was as contagious as it is...I had it once, a couple years ago when I first started scrapbooking...and then I went into remission. And now I've got it again - and apparently, everytime you get "it", it becomes less and less cureable...so supposedly I'm considered a "lost cause." The following NUMEROUS pictures are a result of this illness...some aren't half bad I think. Most of you won't care about this, as I'm posting these pics mostly for my sister to see what she's done to me...but if you scrapbook, maybe you'll get an idea here - and if you don't (see any ideas or anything you like), please leave me an idea or two because I hit roadblocks - a lot...it's called "scrappers block" - like writer's block, only much much more serious.

So go here to see the pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/paesplace
